You can change the WindowsAssemblyGAC folder from the custom GAC view to the normal WIndows Explorer view by editing the Registry:

1. Start > Run
2. Type regedit
3. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftFusion
4. Add a DWORD value called DisableCacheViewer and set the value to 1
